ABOUT SALTY C MARINE TRAINING

Ceara is a born and raised west coaster with decades of commercial and recreational experience as a mariner. Ceara grew up running various vessels including aluminum skiffs, fishing trawlers, fiberglass runabouts, cabin cruisers, and RHIBs. She worked as a skipper and eco-tour guide on the west coast of Vancouver Island for 15 seasons, and has all available TC small vessel tickets including SVOP and RHIOT, as well as additional navigation, leadership, and instructor courses. Ceara is a volunteer coxswain and trainer with marine search and rescue organization RCMSAR. Complementing her maritime experience, Ceara is also a educator with a passion for Science and the ocean, and holds a MEd in Adult Learning. Ceara's hobbies include paddle boarding, freediving, amateur underwater videos, driving around in a boat, and generally enjoying the ocean and marine life.
